The story of Moorabool Valley Eggs starts in 1965.

The Colla family, who migrated from Holland, made their entry into the egg industry on a modest scale with the purchase of a small holding in 1955. In 1965, three of the brothers, Guido, Paul and Vincent, took over the family farm. They soon purchased an existing 10-acre egg farm on the Bellarine Peninsula, in the historic town of Queenscliff, Victoria, which they named Happy Hens Egg Farm.

What followed in the 1980’s was the planned expansion into mainstream egg production and the building of a state-of-the-art facility in Meredith, Victoria.

The Colla family’s core values of diversity, respect, integrity, vision and eggcellence continue to permeate strongly through the business when dealing with our customers, suppliers and staff.
